Balambeeda Jain Temple




Balambeeda Jain Temple is an ancient and recently renovated shrine situated at Balambeeda near Hubli. The main deity is Bhagwan Sri Shambavanatha in the Kayotsarga posture. This idol, made of black stone, is flanked on the right and left by the carvings of Trimukha Yaksha and Pragnapthi Yakshi.

The idols of Chouvisa Tirthankar, Bhagwan Parshwanath and Panchparameshti are also found here.

The temple is easily accessible from Hubli. Hubli Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
