Balaji Temple



Balaji Temple is a delightful shrine, situated at Nerul in Navi Mumbai, in Maharashtra. The presiding deity here is Lord Venkateswara.

The temple stands as an exact replica of the Balaji Temple at Tirupati.

The temple is constructed according to the Shilpashastras and is surrounded by subsidiary temples thus making a temple complex. The several shrines surrounding the Balaji Temple include the Vidya Ganapati temple, Shri Padmavati Devi temple, Hanuman temple, Vishvakasena temple, Ramanuja temple and Lakshmi Narasimha temple.

The entrance hall, Tiru Mamani Mandapam’, houses beautiful images of two Dwara Paalakas (doorkeepers) namely, Jaya and Vijaya, who guard the entrance to the sanctum sanctorum. Below the Mani Mandapam is the Kalyana Mandapam (marriage hall) for conducting the festivities of the temples including Bhajans, Keertans, Pravachans and Kalyana Utsavam.

The Utsava Murtis, Shrinivasa with Sridevi and Bhoodevi, are made of Panchaloha. The temple also house idols of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Lord Hanuman and Lord Krishna with Rukmini.
