Bakasana




Bakasana, also known as Crane Pose, tones up and strengthens the abdominal organs and arms. This asana also strengthens the upper back of the body.

Preparatory poses of Bakasana are Adho Mukha Svanasana, Balasana, Plank Pose and Virasana.

In Bakasana, 'Baka' stands for 'crane' and 'asana' for 'pose.'
