Bainan

Bainan is in the south-western part of Bardhaman District. It is located around 8 km south-east of Uchalan and 11 km south of Rayna. Bardhaman - the district headquarters – lies to the north of Bainan. Arambagh, Amarpur and Jamalpur are located nearby.

Places of tourist interest include Tomb of Sher Afghan, Golapbag Bagh, Rarheswar Temple and Curzon Gate.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport and Barddhaman Junction Railway Station, on the Durgapur -Bandel line, are the nearest access points.
