Badnore Fort

Badnore Fort, a fine example of Rajasthani style of architecture, is located at Badnore in Bhilwara District of Rajasthan. This majestic seven-storied structure, on the top of a hill, was built by King Harshavardhan of Kannauj.

The entrance to the fort is through a gate called Bada Darwaza (big gate) and two ancient temples lie on the sides of the gate. Inside the fort there are remains of stables, temples, prisons, palace and rooms used by the soldiers. This elegant structure, with countless domed jharokhas (balcony), speaks volume about the glorious past of the region.
