Bada



Bada, a small village, is situated in the Minicoy Island of Lakshadweep. It works as a gathering called Baemedu. The village has a Moopan or Bodukaka (head-man of the village) and Bodudatha (head-woman of the village). The internal organization of the village is headed by the Moopan. It features a beautifully garnished village house. Fishing is the main occupation of the people. The main language spoken is Mahl, which is written in Divehi script. The village boat is known as Lanchi.
