Babai




Babai is a taluk headquarters town on the banks of Tawa River in Hoshangabad District, Madhya Pradesh. It is situated about 22 km south-east of Hoshangabad and about 100 km south of Bhopal. Babai is a major agricultural center and houses a mechanized farm of 3000 acres.

Tawa Dam, Bori Wildlife Sanctuary, Pachmarhi and ancient rock shelters with primitive paintings at Hoshangabad constitute interesting excursions in the surroundings.

Bhopal Airport and Hoshangabad Railway Station serve Babai.
