Bababudangiri Hill

Bababudangiri Hill is an idyllic hill range, situated in Chikmagalur District of Karnataka. It lies on Chikmagalur-Kemmannagundi road, about 20 km from Chikmagalur and 280 km away from Bangalore. The hill and its adjoining areas are ideal for trekking. There are two trekking routes, which lead to Kemmannagundi and Mullainagiri, which is about 10 km from here.

This hill is named after Baba Budan, a Sufi saint known for his healing powers. The prime attraction here is the shrine of Baba Budan. Devotees, in large number, visit here to pay their homage to the saint.

Some of the interesting places nearby are Hebbe Falls and Galikere Lake (1 km.) The best time to visit the place is in early winter.
