Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, established in 1998, is located in
Faridkot. Named after the great Sufi Saint, Baba Farid, this State University is the fifth of its kind in India and the first in northern India.
It has about 54 colleges affiliated to it, offering courses in the faculties of medical sciences, dental sciences, nursing sciences, ayurveda, physiotherapy and homoeopathy.
