B R D Medical College, affiliated to the
Gorakhpur University, came into existence in 1969. It is named after the social worker and ardent freedom fighter Baba Raghav Das. The College is situated 8 km from the
Gorakhpur Junction Railway Station. The college has a teaching hospital complex named Nehru Chikitsalaya. The College also offers post graduate training program in Anatomy, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obst. & Gynaecology, Opthalmology, Phisiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Anesthesiology, Pediatrics, Medicine and Skin & V.D.
