Atta is a small village situated at Nuh taluk of Gurgaon District
, nearly 5 km east of Sohna
Road. The village has got great archeological importance. Two beautiful medieval icons representing Uma Maheshwara seated on Nandi
, and another of Adinath (the first Jain Tirthankar
) have been found from this site. All the excavations carried out here confirm that it was an important center of art and architecture during the time of Gurjara-Pratiharas. Early historic pottery and late medieval remains have also been excavated from here.
