Assonora




Assonora, a place of strategic importance, is located about fifteen kilometres from Mapusa town. The place got its name from 'asson,' a timber tree known for its medicinal properties. Par River which flows through this forested place adds beauty to it. The famous Assonora bridge is on river Par. Assonora houses the famous Assnoddcho bazaar. It was once an important trading spot. The neighboring village of Sirigao is linked to Assonora by the Bandar Bridge.
