Assam Rifles Public School




Assam Rifles Public School is located at Shillong, Meghalaya. It was established on September 1, 1980 and was inaugurated on October 10, 1980 by the then Governor of the North Eastern States.

The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE,) New Delhi, and is managed by the Assam Rifles Public School Society. Classes are provided from IV to XII. Students are also provided training for appearing in entrance tests for National Defence Academy and in various Engineering and Medical Colleges.

The campus has hostel facility for students and staffs, a vegetable farm, bakery, golf course, riding school, school tuck shop, and a well equipped medical center. The school has facilities for various indoor and outdoor games. Co-curricular activities include art and painting, clay modeling, batik, carpentry, candle craft, music, pipers band, dramatics, photography, electronics, horticulture, philately and wall magazine.
