Asirgarh




Asirgarh is a small town situated on the lap of Satpura Range in the Burhanpur District of Madhya Pradesh. It is located in the south-western part of the district, about 20 km north of Burhanpur and 60 km south of Khandwa.

Asirgarh Fort, an impregnable fort built by the legendary Asa Ahir, is the major attraction. A 10th century Lord Shiva temple inside the fort is also worth-visiting.

Devi Ahilya Bai Holeker Airport and Burhanpur Railway Station serve Asirgarh.
