Arunagirinathar




Arunagirinathar, who lived during the 15th century, was a divine Tamil poet. A prolific composer, he is credited with the invention of a new genre of tala named Chanda Tala by composing Thiruppugazh, which is noted for its rhythmic structures. Among his other popular compositions are Vachana miga, Erumayileri and Tullumada.
