Arulmigu Venugopala Swamy Temple




Arulmigu Venugopala Swamy Temple is a religious spot situated at the top of Raja Kambeera Mountain, popularly known as Kottaimalai, 3 km away from Arulmigu Renugambal Temple in Thiruvannamalai District, Tamil Nadu. This temple is the abode of Lord Krishna, also called as Lord Venugopala Swamy. Here the Lord is seen in a standing posture along with his consorts Rukmini and Satyabhama.

This temple, located at an elevation of 2500 ft, can be accessed through a ghat road running through thick and beautiful forest. A huge tractor specially built to take the pilgrims and the materials is the only transportation available. This tractor takes the visitors only to the foot of the hill.

Polur Railway Station is the nearest major railway station. Chennai International Airport is the nearest airport.
