Arulmigu Veda Narayanaperumal Temple




Arulmigu Veda Narayanaperumal Temple is located at Thirunarayananapuram in Tiruchirappalli District. This is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It has two prakarams and has two main shrines for the Lord and Goddess.

In the sanctum, the Lord is reclining on Adisesha and the four Vedas are used as pillars by the God. Sridevi and Bhoodevi are nearby. The Lord is seen advising Lord Brahma. A separate shrine for GoddessSaraswati is also seen here. The Theertham (holy water source) is Cauvery and the Thalavirusham (holy tree) is Vilva tree.

The festivals celebrated here are Bramotsavam for eleven days during the Vaigasi (May-June); Navratri; Vaikunta Ekadesi Festival for 21 days during Margazhi (December-Janauary); Masi Magam during Masi (February-March).

Thirunarayananapuram is located, on the way to Thottiyam, on Kattuputhur road. It is connected by bus from Tiruchriappalli and Musiri.
