Arkannoor is situated near Chadayamangalam and Ayoor in Kollam District. This remote village is about 6 km from Ayoor and about 25 km south of Kottarakara. Arkannoor Bhagavathi Temple is the major attraction.
The village is adorned with the Ithikkara River that passes through it. The famous Kathakali artist, Arkannoor Prabha hails from here. A picturesque view of the Chadayamangalam Jatayu Para can be had from the village. Arkannoor is connected by road with Anchal, Oyoor, Kulathuppuzha and Punalur.
