Arhat Nagasena is a famous Sikkimese painting found in
Sinon Monastery of
West Sikkim District. The painting is that of a saint. The peaceful face and auspicious character of the saint is expressed using a minimum of colors and line drawings. The influence of the Ajanta Cave Paintings can be seen in the ornamental design of the background and in the quality of work.
