Archaeological Museum Bijapur




Archaeological Museum, established in 1892, is situated at Bijapur, in Karnataka. The museum exhibits a rich collection of antiquities belonging to the period of Adil Shahi (1480 to 1680) such as armory, porcelain, china ware, coins, miniature paintings, manuscripts, carpets, inscriptions (Kannada, Devnagari, Arabic and Persian) and stone sculptures.

The museum also has a well equipped library. Guide services are available on demand. Photography is allowed in the museum.

Archaeological Museum is open from 10:00 to 17:00 hrs on all days, except Friday.
