Archaeological Museum




Archaeological Museum is situated at Ahar, around 3 km from Udaipur. It exhibits a varied collection of findings from excavations at the mount of Dhulkot, which is a 4,000 year old township. The main attraction of the museum are the Skim scrubber (1st century BC), seals (1st century BC), grain pot (1st century BC), animal figures, stone weights and balls. The museum also displays some beautiful Hindu and Jain icons. There is a statue of Vishnu-Nag-Nathan belonging to the medieval period in which snakes are enwinding all around the deity. Archaeological Museum is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00 hrs, except on Fridays.
