Aranmula




Situated on the banks of river Pampa, Aranmula is a small village in the Pathanamthitta District of Kerala. It is an important pilgrim center and is famous for its hand-made mirrors of polished metal known as the 'Aranmula Kannadi.' Aranmula is also linked with legends from the Mahabharata.

There is an institution named Vijnana Kala Vedi Center which offers training in traditional arts such as Kathakali, classical dances, classical music and Kalaripayattu.

Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple is situated at this place. Aranmula Uthrittathi, organized in the waters of the Pamba on the last day of Onam, is a major draw.

Aranmula is around 10 km from Chengannur and 50 km from Kottayam.

Chengannur Railway Station and Cochin International Airport are the nearest access points.
