Arang




Situated on National Highway 6, Arang is a small town in the south-eastern part of Raipur District, Chhattisgarh. It is about 30 km from Raipur, the state capital. Several Hindu temples and many black-stone images of Jain Tirtankars are scattered around this town.

The Bhand Dewal Temple, built in the 11th century, is the major pilgrim center here. Other important temples include Durga Temple, Mahamaya Temple, Danteshwari Temple, Chandi Maheshwari Temple, Panchamukhi Mahadev Temple and Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple. Accommodation facilities are available at the PWD Rest House.

Raipur Airport and Raipur Junction Railway Station are the nearest connecting points.
