Aragalur




Aragalur is a small village located in Salem District. It is about 4 km south-east of Talaivasal on the right back of Vasishta River and 74 km from Yercaud. ‘Aragalur’ in Tamil means ‘village of six trenches’. The place is famous for the Sri Kameswara Temple and Karivaradaperumal Temple. There is a big Buddha statue attracting a number of tourists on the outskirts of Aragalur.
