Aradhana Mahotsavam is the major festival of Sree Subrahmanya Swami Temple in Payyanur. It is celebrated from the 1st of Vrischikam to 14th of the same month of the Malayalam Era. This colorful festival marks the beginning of the festival season of Payyanur and adjoining places.
The main ceremony of this festival includes the 'tidampu ezhunnellathu' (procession of the deity). The procession is accompanied by the traditional musical instruments and other sacred formalities. A number of cultural events are staged during this 14-day long festival.
