Apanda




Apanda is a small village 23 km from Bhadrak. The village is famous for its beautiful Buddha icon in Dhyanamudra posture placed on a raised platform, made of laterite stone. This icon is 5 ft 6 inches in height and 2 ft 8 inches in breadth. The features of this idol are rare and unique. Now it has been declared as a protected monument. Bhadrak railway station is the nearest railhead.
