Annapurna Temple

Annapurna Temple is one of the temples in the compound on the west side of the Chittorgarh Fort. It was built by Maharana Hamir Singh I in the early part of the 1300s. It was built in memory of Annapurna (Barvadi), a female saint considered to be the incarnation of the Chittor Mother Goddess, Amba Mata. The image worshipped in the shrine is Mahalakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity.

Chittorgarh is well connected by both road and rail to other parts of the state. It is 182 km from Ajmer, 158 km from Bundi and 112 km from Udaipur.
