Annakut Festival




Annakut is celebrated on the first day of the full moon in Kartik month, after Diwali. The village folk worship Lord Krishna as Govardhan. Hence it is also known as Govardhan Puja. Idols of Govardhan are made of cow dung and kept at the doorstep of every house. During this festival 56 types of food items are prepared.
