Ankai-Tankai Hills

Ankai-Tankai are twin hills that form a part of the Chandwand range. It is about 8 km south of Manmad and 16 km from Yeola.

Ankai-Tankai is one of the strongest hill forts with perpendicular faces on all sides. It offers a commanding view of the surroundings including the Knandesh and Godaveri valleys. The highlight here is a temple dedicated to Agastya, a pious saint. Besides, some ancient Buddhist caves can be spotted at its base.

Ankai-Tankai is easily accessible from Ankai Railway Station.
