Anda Masjid is situated about 30 km from
Dapoli, in
Ratnagiri District of
Maharashtra. This mosque was built during the reign of the
Adil Shahi dynasty.
The Begum (queen) of the Adil Shahi kingdom spent an amount equivalent to 1.5 million rupees in Indian currency for the construction of this mosque. This grand structure, conforming to the Muslim architecture, is noted for its excellent artistry.
