Swami Ramdas and Mother Krishnabai founded Anandashram in 1931 in Kanhangad, Kasargod District. Universal Love and Service are the ideals of Anandashram.
Vishwa Seva Educational Trust (VSET) under the ashram provides value based education. Rural development, water and shelter projects, medical services are some the other philanthropic activities of Anandashram.
Set amidst shady mango trees and coconut groves, the ashram has a calm and serene setting. Devotees retire for meditation on the hill east of the ashram. The ashram is self sustained and has a well equipped library.
The ashram is situated 5 km east of the
Kanhangad Railway Station.
