Anand Prabhu Kudi Vihar

Anand Prabhu Kudi Vihar is the most famous among the Buddha Vihars of Sirpur. It was built during the period of Mahashivgupt Balarjun by Bhikshu Anand Prabhu, a follower of Buddha. The vihar consists of 14 rooms and has a 6 ft tall statue of the Buddha. The images of Dwarapalakas, carved on stone pillars, on either sides of the main entrance reflect the splendor of ancient craft. Hundreds of tourists and research students visit this place every year.
