Ammapettai




Ammapettai is a small settlement situated in Erode District, Tamil Nadu. It sprawls over an area of about 14 sq km. Neighboring towns: Athani and Anthiyur in the south-west, Nerinjipettai in the north, Edappadi in the south-east, Mukasipidariyur and Olagadam in the south and Poolampatti in the east. Cauvery River flows nearby. Sri Godhandapani Ramaswamy Temple is the prime attraction. Major tourist sites nearby are Bhavani Sangameshwarar Temple, Mettur Dam, Thenkalai Sri Soundararaja Perumal Temple, Bhavani Koodudurai and Salem. C A Coimbatore Airport is the nearest airport. Mettur Railway Station and Erode Junction Railway Station serve Ammapettai. Ammapettai can be accessed from Mettur and Bhavani by road.
