Founded in 1983, American Women's Club of Bombay (AWC) is an independent, non-profit organization based in
Mumbai, the commercial hub and the capital of
Maharashtra.
The club assists Americans and Canadians who visit Mumbai, promotes social and cultural activities within the club, and encourage its members to participate in charitable and cultural activities in and around Mumbai. AWC conducts a variety of social events designed to create life in India even more exciting.
AWC meetings are held twice monthly on the second and fourth Wednesdays, and on every fifth Wednesday they have a joint meeting at Mumbai Connexions, a sister concern of American Women's Club of Bombay.
Memberships are open to American and Canadian ladies who completed 18 years and those who married American or Canadian citizens. Associate memberships are open to women 18 years or over, who are expatriate women residing in Mumbai.
