American Information Resource Center (AIRC) in India is located in
Kolkata,
Chennai,
Mumbai, and
New Delhi. It offers a range of resources, programs and services to provide information on current American politics and society, international relations, U.S. economy and the like. The center holds more than 82,721 books, 586 print periodicals, 1,000 journals in electronic format, 2,425 video cassettes, and some leading American dailies. The collection includes multi-disciplinary American books, journals and reference materials, CD-ROM databases, encyclopedias, almanacs, and periodicals. The AIRC offers individual, temporary, distance, and institutional memberships. The center has published and distributed many books and journals.
