Ambalathara



Ambalathara is a residential area situated between Kamaleshwaram and Thiruvallam in Thiruvananthapuram. The place is on East FortKovalam road, about 4 km from East Fort.

Amman Kovil, Mahadeva Temple and Pazhanchira Devi Temple (famous for Pongala festival) are the major seats of worship at Ambalathara.

Milma Diary Plant, one of the esteemed organizations in India, is located here. Prior permission is required to visit the factory. An antique shop named ‘Habitat’ is in close proximity. Guests can buy an exotic variety of traditional jewels and furniture from here. Various educational institutions and shopping centers can be found.

Kovalam and Vizhinjam, two notable tourist destinations in Thiruvananthapuram District, can be easily reached via Ambalathara. Trivandrum International Airport and Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station are the nearest airport and railhead.
