Amargarh

Amargarh is a small village situated about 3 km east of Goniana Mandi in Bathinda District. It is believed that Guru Har Rai, the seventh Sikh Guru, visited this place during his trip to Bhokhari. Today Amargarh is famous for a Sikh shrine dedicated to the guru. Built in 1912, this gurdwara, named Gurdwara Vidyasar Patshahi Satvin, draws a large number of devotees here to offer prayers. In olden days, Amargarh was known as Jhablutti.

Bhatinda Junction Railway Station, one of the major railway stations in India, is within 20 km from here. The nearest airport is Chandigarh Airport.
