Aloodi




Aloodi is a hamlet in the Minicoy Island of Lakshadweep. It has a Moopan or Bodukaka (head-man of the village) and Bodudatha (head-woman of the village). The village works as a gathering called Baemedu and has an internal organization headed by the Moopan. This village has its own customs and food habits. Mahl is the main language spoken. The village boat is known as Lanchi.
