Akkur

Akkur is located in Thiruvannamalai District and is about 20 km from Kanchipuram. It lies on the Kanchipuram-Vandavasi road.

Akkur derived its name from the word ‘aru oor’, which literally means 'six villages.' Ambujavalli Nayikaa Samedha Lakshmi Narayana Temple is the major point of attraction here.
