Situated at a distance of about 10 km from Thiruvananthapuram, Akkulam Boat Club is a popular retreat on the banks of the Akkulam Lake. It provides motor-driven safari launches, power boats, pedal boats or row boats. Kayaks and hovercraft are the added attraction. There is a children's park, snack bar and a swimming pool.
