Akbari Bridge

Akbari Bridge is a remarkable structure built by an Afghan named Munim Khan during the reign of Mughal Emperor Akbar. With 15 arches, the bridge connects the two sides of Jaunpur. The sculpture of a lion tussling with an elephant is positioned at the southern end of this 16th century bridge. The structure is strong enough to resist earthquakes and floods. Other attractions in the area are Shitla Choukiya Dham, Yamdagni Ashram and Atala Masjid.
