Ajilamogaru Juma Masjid




Ajilamogaru Juma Masjid is a highly revered shrine situated 20 km east of Bantwal in Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka. This ancient mosque, aged more than 8000 years, is believed to have been erected by Sayyed Baba Pakruddin, the ruler of Central Asian Kingdom.

An annual Urus Festival is celebrated here to commemorate the life and contribution of Sayyed Baba Pakruddin, the ruler turned saint. A large number of devotees attend the festival. Venkataramana Temple and Karinjeswara Temple are nearby attractions.

The nearest airport is Mangalore Airport.
