Agia




Agia, a small scenic village on the road to Guwahati, is 10 km south of Goalpara. It is well-known for its Urpad Beel, one of the biggest lakes of lower Assam. The lake and its environs is a favorite haunt of birds. The villagers earn their livelihood through fishing activity in the lake.

The places that surround Agia are Simlabari, Baida, Kharmauza, Krishnai and Kashikhagra. Agia has social infrastructures such as school, clinic, market, and religious place.

Goalpara Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is the nearest airport.
