Major point of attraction is the Ten Kurangaaduturai Temple, one of the two Kurangaaduturai Temples. Situated in the south of the Cauvery River, this highly revered Shivasthalam is believed to be place where Sugreeva had worshipped Lord Shiva.

Aduturai Railway Station falls on the Mayiladuthurai-Kumbakonam rail route. By road, Aduthurai is well linked with Kuttalam, Kumbakonam, Nidamangalam and Tiruvarur.
