Achanta is located in West Godavari District in Andra Pradesh. It lies at a distance of 28 km from Tanuku and 48 km from Tadepaliguddem. This place is famous for the ancient temple of Ramaswamy. The temple has a gopuram at the entrance with the sculpted images of a pair of lions on top. There is a big dwaja sthamba at the mukha mandapam. A beautifully sculpted idol of Nandi in the resting position is placed in a raised platform.
