Acanthephippium Syhetense, a long bulbous like orchid with short internodes, grows widely in
Cherrapunji and
Nongpoh in
Meghalaya.
The leaves are shortly petioled, elliptic-lanceolate and acuminate. The orchid blooms from June to July. It produces large, dull white, ovate flowers. This plant can be grown as pot plant.
