Aavishkar is the brainchild of Dr. Nirmala S. Rao who started her psychiatric clinic in 1993 with the aim of treating the emotionally disturbed. Aavishkar Centre for Self Enrichment was established with the purpose of creating awareness among the general public about mental health and well being. Dr. Rao is supported in her endeavor by her team of clinical psychologists and facilitators.
