Aanayoottu, the world largest elephant feeding ceremony, is an annual ritual associated with the Vadakkunnathan Temple in Thrissur District. It is held on the first day of the Malayalam month of Karkidakom (July-August). Ashta Dravya Maha Ganapathy Havana, a religious ceremony is conducted before Aanayoottu.
