The town of Tilkuria is located in Bardhaman District of West Bengal. Jamalpur is about 10 km to the north. Bhastara, 9 km to the north and Srikrishnapur, 2 km to the south are two nearby locations.

Pilgrimage trips can be undertaken to Gauranga Bari Temple, Babladihi, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, Agrwadip, famous for its Gopinath temple, Bagnapara Vaishnav Center, 109 Shiva Temple, Sri Khanda temple, and Rarheswar Temple. Kalna Raj Bari, Tomb of Sher Afghan, Golapbag Bagh, and Curzon Gate are some of the tourist attractions accessible from here.
