Sapta Tila

Sapta Tila is a place located at Madhyadvipa, one among the nine islands of Navadvipa. The name is derived from two words Sapta and Tila, which means ‘seven’ and ‘hill’ respectively. This place is also known as Kumara Ghata.

Legend has it that inorder to get Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's blessing, the seven saints (Atri, Angira, Marichi, Kratu, Pulaha, Pulastya and Vasistha) did severe meditation at this place. One can find the houses of these seven saints at the seven hills.
